Where I Create!

Welcome! Come on in and stay a while!

I have been waiting for this moment for a couple of weeks now! As soon as Karen Valentine announced she was hosting the Where Bloggers Create II, I got right to work! I wanted to move my studio to a smaller room, but just didn't want to move all that junk! So, when I read Karen's blog I knew this was the perfect time for me to get the move on! My daughter helped me paint and the rest is history! I love my new space, it is the same things from the other studio just laid out a little different. I did add the large piece of salvage over the window, and I love it. I hope you enjoy the pics of my studio! After you are done here be sure to go on over and see a list of all the bloggers who are participating and will be showing their studios as well! This is so exciting! I can't wait to see them all!

I'm just gonna let all the pictures do the talking! I have so much stuff crammed in here! As you can see I love a lot of things surrounding me! I have tons of jars filled to the brim with little trinkets just waiting for the next project!

And I love, love, love all these book pages covering the wall! I use book pages and sheet music on a lot of my furniture redo's! If I had the guts I would do this in my house! More Dr. Pepper

I am trying my best to figure this new picture thingy out! Somehow there was an update on my pictures with blogger and I can't hardly figure this thing out! Before I had a choice for all my photos to be centered, but I can't seem to find that setting any more! I'm I crazy! I guess my blog was set on dinosaur settings! I am going to try to post this post again and see it I can get it right this time! Boy it's hard to teach an old dog, new trick!

As promised here are some pictures of the inside of Dr. Peppers house! I love her dinning room, they brought this table back from England. But I think the whole room has a very Tuscan feel!

She has tons of crusty Ironstone and of course I love it all!

Their living room is a tribute to the sea!

The couple said they love the sea!

The teal color make you feel like you are surrounded by water!

This is the den, the black railing behind the chair is a spiral staircase that leads down to the basement TV room and wine cellar that D (Jenn's husband) dug out by hand, one, five gallon bucket at a time! He crawled through a small door in the side of the house to carry out all the dirt!!

The guest bedroom looks like something from and English manor!

Dr. Peppers Garden

Recently I spent the afternoon with a sweet friend Dr. Jennifer Pepper! I was so excited, I couldn't hardly wait to see her house and gardens!! She always buys the coolest stuff, so I knew I was in for a treat!! I was right!! Here are a few pictures of her garden, I have a few more, but I will post them when I show the inside of her home! I love her gardens, and her sweet husband does all the work! She is lucky to have him, I couldn't get Craig to do any garden work if I begged! Enjoy!

Spring show in Brimfield

I finally got a free moment to post!! As you can see my booth is quite different than the normal whites that I do. Seems my customer base is not looking for white right now, so we've tried to adjust according to what they want. And the adjustment was a good one, we sold down to the bare walls. I had 4 things left, the large metal shelf, cubby, white bench, small white cupboard and the white store counter. And of course we had some smalls left. Smalls were not a very hot seller this time either. Hope you enjoy the pictures! I'll let the pictures to all the talking!

I know what your thinking, this all looks like a pile of junk!! But trust me it will be great when we are finished with it! This is some of the Iowa goodies we got week before last!

We built a store counter this week, for a friend that is opening a store (I forgot to take pics!). It turned out great, the thing is huge! I will pull some pics off her blog when she post about it!

I can't wait to get started on some of this Iowa junk! Love it!

The Dust Is Settling!

Boy! I'm telling you we haven't stopped since we got home from Texas! Last week we went to Iowa! I got a truck load of goodies! We are unloading the truck today I will take some pictures!

Of course Sharon of Sweet Repose was our guide! We had a blast I have never laughed so much in my whole life! And the weather was fabulous, I felt like I was on vacation! We traveled over 300 miles on our shopping trip while in Iowa!

Expanded Booth Before and After

We have been busy as a bee since we've been home from Texas! Not a minutes rest! For real! I rented the booth beside me and a half a booth in front of my old booth! I couldn't wait to get the work done cause I had a vision of what it would look like in my head! After 4 days of moving furniture out, moving furniture in, painting, stapling burlap and of course my favorite thing (decorating) I am finally finished! You can see how tiny my space was!

I have to say Marburger was very good to us this show! Our show was right up there in the top three! I am a little surprised though! I felt like all I had was a hodge podge of stuff and I was not feeling it when I was trying to put the booth together! And I had a smaller booth and brought less stuff! Some way, some how it all worked out and we almost sold out! We only had 3 pieces of furniture left!

We had huge crowds at Marburger as well! Thanks to everyone who came out and bought something, without you guys we wouldn't be in business!

Home at Last!

We got home about 30 mins. ago Yee haw!! It's amazing how big your house looks when you get home from being crammed in a 23 ft. travel trailer for 2 weeks! We had an amazing show and a wonderful time seeing everyone! I have tons of pictures but I'm to tired to load them in the computer. And I have to go to Brentwood, TN. tomorrow to deliver a showcase. You'll have to wait a little longer! Sorry!

Just In Time!

I got this project done just in time to go on the truck for Texas! I think they turned out great! It's the first time I ever covered a whole chair! Mostly I just do chair bottoms, so I was a little nervous when I start the project! And I love the way the nail heads look when they are showing! I had some trim I could have used, but I thought it would make the chairs look to formal!

Spencer had to make his appearance in this picture!

Sneak Peek

Thought I would give you a sneak peek at some of the items rolling out of the workshop! I made the bed 14 years ago out of any old thing I could find in the scrap pile! I used it for several years, then it got put out behind the warehouse! Thought of it the other day and decided to take it with us! It was my first welding job and I am pretty proud of it! Hope somebody else likes it as much as I do! I don't use it any more cause it is queen size and we have a king bed!

A few things that were used to create the bed:

Old water pipes

Arm to a tobacco sprayer

Sewing machine legs

Fence section

Porch rails

This table base is from an old pedal ban saw! Cool!

I think it is a piece of art!

We had fabulous weather yesterday, 72 degrees! So I got tons of things done! Thought you would like to see the before and after of these chairs! I love how they turned out! There is a set of 4 and I think they will make someone very happy! Gotta go, pretty this morning, going to get some more stuff done before the rain comes!

These look blue, but they are actually gray. The same gray I used for the show at the Red Barn in Jan. and it was a hit! You can see the gray in the picture I posted in the last post.

Almost Show Time!

I can't believe that the show time is almost here! Wow! And I have so much to do it's not even funny! Hopefully we can get some work done this week, supposed to have good weather!

All Work And No Play!

All work and no play seems to be the theme for me lately! I have been up to my eyeballs in tax paper work (pulling my hair out). I finally got finished last night! Thank goodness! But all work and no play makes Theresa very restless! I took a break on Saturday and Craig and I moved some stuff around in the house! I get tired of looking at things the way they are, I just need a change! And I have been going through that, less is more stage! Trying to thin things out! You know, less to dust!

My living room is so small there is not much I can do with it, only two ways to put my sofa, against the window (the way it was) or pulled out in the middle of the floor! But I was very happy with the changes, I think I will be satisfied for a little while!

Next week I have to get started on my Texas load! Not much time left, but the weather has been so yucky it's hard to work on things! I can't wait to see all my friends! I love Texas!

Gettin older has felt good this year! (I don't even mind those wrinkles around my eyes!) I've had the best Birthday ever! Was a great day to be alive! I had mentioned to Lauri of Chippy's that I needed some pillows for my settee in the bedroom! Well, low and behold if she didn't just whip me up some! She is a great seamstress and can make window treatments, slipcovers, pillows and anything the heart desires! She brought several pillows for me to choose from, boy it was a hard choice!

Tailgate Show in Nashville

Well, I must say the show this weekend was a huge disappointment! Not sure what was in play, was it the freezing cold weather, the bad economy or maybe we just didn't have anything any body wanted!! BUT we were not the only ones feeling the the squeeze this weekend! I feel very lucky we sold what we did! And I want to thank everyone who came out and supported us!

My booth was very different, people won't buy white at this show and we don't even bother to take it! But I so love white and don't even enjoy decorating a booth without it! From now on I will have white some where in my booth!

Tailgate in Nashville This Weekend!

Cold Hard Steel

Yesterday was spent unloading and reloading the box truck! Now this is a job I usually don't mind, but is was so cold you couldn't stand to put your hands on any of this metal without gloves!

The Tailgate Show in Nashville requires us to carry a different load than normal! White does not sell there so I don't even bother taking it! And, industrial is the only other thing I like to deal in!

Thought I would give you a sneak peek at what we had been up to! Not sure how this booth is going to turn out, but I will do my best!

Booth Work

I had to go over to the Barn to work on my booth today, it was getting pretty messy looking! It amazes me how somebody can pick something up to look at it and never put it back where it belongs! And I had sold several things this month, so there were some empty spaces! Yah!

There is a chandelier in my booth that I put junk (treasures) on instead of prisms, as I was dusting I realized someone had stolen the little bottles right off the chandelier!! Can you believe this! To top it all off, they had to stand in something to even reach the chandelier! Of all the things they could have taken, it was a couple of 50 cent bottles! Crazy!

I did a major move around, sweep the floors and enjoyed playing for a while! Hope you enjoy the pictures! If you see anything you would like to have just drop me an e-mail.

New Headboard!

This is going to be my new headboard!

Don't you just love this huge door?

It's 7ft. tall and 5ft wide, and it's so heavy we couldn't hardly get it up the steps to come in the house! I believe there were some ugly words coming out of my mouth, but I couldn't help it!!

With this new headboard comes a longing to change everything in the room! Well not the big stuff, just the small stuff! So I took everything down so I can clear my head of that vision, and I will take a few days to think about what I want to do from here!

Matter of fact, I am going through my whole house and picking through the small stuff and I'm gonna sell most of it! I feel the need for less! You know what they say less is more!! I gonna try it out and see how I like it!

When Craig decided to join me in this battle, I made my mind up that we could do this without me going to Weight Watchers meetings! This has to be a huge change in our lifestyles and I was afraid if I depended on that crutch while the weight was coming off I wouldn't make the permanent changes necessary for the life time commitment! I keep the Weight Watchers concept in mind at all times when planning what we are going to eat! Actually I am losing faster now than when I was attending meeting!

I am most proud of Craig, he is addicted to sugar like it was a drug and he has given it up cold turkey!!

He has lost 12 lbs!!

I know most of you could care less about this, but it is a huge deal to me! I am more encouraged to today than I was yesterday!

I Scored Big!

I spotted this table at the Red Barn and I about had a heart attack!!

I rush back to the booth to get Craig to see it!

I wanted it soooo bad!!

Guess what he liked it to!

So! I scored big time!

Not that I ever have to ask him for anything,

I just like having his approval!

He could care less about what I buy!

When I first saw it I thought it was concrete

and I said to Melony of the Seed Box...........I bet that

thing weighs a ton! No...........she said, it is fiber glass!!

It's still very heavy though!

My heart was racing so fast I felt like I was going to pass out!

Silly! I know! Over a stupid table!!

The top is 54" in diameter,

means I can fit 6 chairs around it!

I wasn't even sure it would fit in my kitchen!

But I knew it would look good with my chairs!

But it did!! Whaa Whoo!!!

She said she started to pull off the vines,

but decided she liked them and wanted to leave them on!

I love them, I've even been thinking

Red Barn

I must say the Red Barn experience was a fast one! Having only a few hours to set up usually freaks me out! I prefer a 2 day set up, that way you have more time to ponder how the displays have turned out! I never know how things are going to come together, I just set stuff out on a table and let the items speak to me! Silly, I know! But that's how the process works for me!

I love looking at great displays, and when I walk into someones booth and my mouth falls open, I'm captured by all the beauty! You can have great stuff and if it's not displayed in a way that captivates your audience, then you've failed. But you can have so, so stuff and display it in a way that makes people want to buy it all you've succeeded! I love the art of display, yes I think it is an art!

This is not some of my best work, it was a rush job! Hope you enjoy!

Of course we had to go check it out! OMG! It was a treat for the eyes! I loved all the bright colors (yes, I said I actually liked all the colors!) and the displays were great. The owners, Linda and Richard Hamilton are very talented and sweet! They make all these creations themselves!

Wow! What a short turn around for such a long trip! Boy that went by so quick I'm not even sure if I was there or not! But I do have pictures to prove it! The show at the Red Barn was OK! I will never do that one again, it's just to far for me for a 2 day show! I did get to spend a couple of days with my son, best part of my trip! And I got to catch up with several great friends! All in all we had a great time and feel fortunate to sell what we did!

Fabulously French did a post today about her love for the Eiffel Tower! I to love the Eiffel Tower! I first saw it about 15 years ago and was smitten by it massive size and beauty! I was amazed at the view from the top, I never realize Paris was so huge! I long to go back some day, and I'm sure I'd have to go visit the Eiffel Tower again!

Anytime I see something with the Eiffel Tower on it, I have to have it! Craig makes fun of me all the time, but that's cause he's jealous he's never been there! This is a cute wind chime I found the other day, I had to have it! Not sure if I will leave it in wind chime form or make a bracelet out of it!

It's Big Red Barn show time! We leave next week for Texas and I can't hardly wait! I'm hoping for warmer weather down there, it's crazy cold here! It was 7 degrees this morning when we got up. I know it's a lot colder in other parts of the country, but it sucks when you have to work out in it! Craig starts loading the truck tomorrow, I usually help, but I don't think I can stand the frigid weather!

Restocked my booth at Bennie's Barn today and worked on sales tax for Texas and Kentucky! Glad that's done and behind me! Thought I'd show a few new booth pictures.

One other piece of news, I coming up on my 200th post! So you know what that means, it will be time for a give away! I will work on that when we get home from Texas, stay tuned for more information!

A Bit Disappointed

Simply changes can make such an impact. I know you don't have anything to compare it with, but I couldn't find any before pictures to show you, sorry! As I grow older I feel the need to simply my life more.

On a lighter note: I have struggled with the idea of sharing this with you guys, but here goes! I went back to Weight Watchers last Monday, not even sure if you are interested! I have struggled with my weight all my life! In the early 80's I did Weight Watchers and kept my weight off for 10 years. Two years ago I went back, lost 32 lbs. but put it all back on! This time I am serious about this! And I am very excited! The first week went very well, as a matter of fact Craig took a huge interest in what I was doing and he wants to go along with the plan. I think we can support each other, of course his weight will probably come off faster than mine!

Last night was weigh in and I lost 3lbs.!! I was so excited, I am officially on my way to becoming a healthier person! I will create a box in my side bar so you can follow along if you are interested!

Hey guys, did you wander what happened to me? Well I guess I've been a little blog lazy lately! But Christmas is coming and I've been doing some serious house cleaning! On my hand and knees scrubbing floors for 5 hours yesterday! OMG! My floors are so clean you could eat off them!

And I've been sorting through some of my things to sell! Can't find anything to buy, so I've been shopping in my own house. I had bought some treasures for myself last year and never found a place to fit them in. So I took this opportunity to trade the old for the new! Well the new is old! Does that make any sense?

These are the wonderful chairs I bought at Leftovers last year, and this table came from Shelbyville Antique Market. I moved a huge prep table out to make room for them and I really like the results!

I'm loving the creams and browns!

Just got this wonderful mirror a few weeks ago!

These alabaster birds are from French Vanilla!

I am finally amassing several pieces of coral,

and it's displayed in a huge shell I bought for $20.

Why is it when your decorating for yourself everything is so much harder? First of all, as dealers we go through tons of furniture every year. Then when there is something you want to do for yourself it feels like you don't have anything that you really want to use! So far this is what I have, but I'm sure this will change several times as I get things that I like better. I tried using all white, but the furniture disappeared into the porch.

This bench in the left hand corner is so cool, but it is very uncomfortable, so I know for sure it has to go! I have another bench I am going to try in it's place.

These iron pieces behind the large table I have kept for myself for about 5 years, but I'm not sure if I really like them! It nearly killed me to put them up cause we had to drill holes in that new aluminum trim! Keep in mind everything will look better in the summer when I can have some flowers on the porch!

These chairs are out of my dining room, I bought some for the porch, but I didn't like them either! I think I might be to picky!

The porch faces the South and we get a lot of wind, so I have to choose things that are heavy won't blow away!

New Roof and Porch

Let me start by saying I have been waiting 15 years to have a covered porch on my house! This summer we had to have a new roof put on our house and it was the perfect opportunity to build the porch. I am so excited to finally have it finished! Now I have an outdoor room to decorate! Actually I have been working on decorating the porch for the last couple of days, and I can't wait to show you the results! Stay tuned!

We took all the railing off so when you set down there is nothing obstructing the view! One rail left to take down!

Home Again!

I have all kinds of things to report! We had a great show, got to see old friends, meet some new friends and sell bunches of junk! Oh, I mean treasures!

We got to see several old friends that we used to set up with at the old Lakewood, even got to see Cindy of The Plum Tree, she bought a great store counter from me for her shop! Thanks Cindy! Seen a couple of blogger friends as well and of course they supported our cause also.

Taylor Swift was in our booth, but I didn't even know who she was! Sorry Taylor!

Sadly we found out the Nashville Fairgrounds is closing down June 2010, it will be torn down to the ground. The Tailgate show will be held there again in Feb. 2010, but will have to find a new venue after that! I am very bummed that I won't be able to go the Nashville Flea Market after June! It concerns me when I hear about shows closing down, makes me worry about where we will be selling our wares!

I wasn't to sure what to take to this show since it is mostly country (primitive) stuff, so we took a few white things and a lot of industrial. We sold most of the industrial and a few white pieces.

I couldn't resist taking a picture of these two cute dogs, their mom and dad were parking the trailer and they were keeping watch!

Projects Completed

Before

Do you ever have those projects that you buy with good intentions of working on right away, but.....they get pushed to the back of the building? Then 2 years later you come across them and say....oh I forgot I even bought those! We have been trying to clean out our building for about a year now, and we just keep pulling out things that need some TLC.

We have been doing a lot of industrial furniture at shows lately, so I thought this metal dresser, desk and side table would be a good addition to our booth in Nashville. Even I was surprised at the results of how the pieces turned out! The first picture shows the dresser and side table. I didn't take a picture of the desk, but it had several coats of paint on it....blue, green, brown, black, red and white! It took several coats of stripper and a lot elbow grease to get these pieces to this point!

Well, my youngest daughter showed up about the time I got the desk finished, dresser was already done and she had a fit over the pieces! She bought the dresser at a discounted price and I told her the desk could be her Christmas, she was elated!

Suddenly it was back to the drawing board to find something to take to the show! We pulled some more things out and got them finished in time to be loaded! Come on out the the Tailgate Show at the Nashville fairgrounds Oct. 30th and 31st and check out the goodies!

We're Home!

Well it's been a wild ride for the last 2 weeks in Texas! I have never seen so much rain in all my life! As a matter of fact we hitched a ride home on Noah's Ark! My booth flooded on Monday night before opening on Tuesday morning! Then to top it all off we loaded in a torrential down pour of rain for 4 hours! In spite of all that, we had a good show! We had a few of days of fabulous weather.

The highlight of my show was meeting the famous Corey Amaro of Tongue in Cheek! She is the sweetest thing and cute as a button! I have followed her blog for some time, but I never dreamed in a million years I would actually meet her! The first picture is Corey with the 2 Theresa's!

And the slip dress I am wearing is a creation by Gypsy Brocante. I was so excited to find one that actually fit me! You know

Pile of Junk!

I know, I know it all looks like junk! But trust me it's NOT! Things are coming together slowly but surely around here! We are going to the doctor 3 times a week and that's taking up a lot of my time, but I'm happy to do it! Thought you would like to see a few things we are taking to Marburger Farms. This first picture is something from a church, I can't decide if I want to part with it or not! Craig had to reattach Jesus, he can do anything!

Alabaster lamps I've been cleaning and rewiring!

This Victorian chaise is another thing I'm on the fence about! I've never seen one like it! We had to do some work on it and remove some of the wire that circled around the back but I think it turned out well! I love it!

Show Nerves!

Well it's that time right before a show when I become a bag full of nerves! Actually I've been that way for the last two weeks! I'm having the hardest time concentrating since Clayton's accident! But this is the time when I'm getting all my smalls together to clean, price and tote up! And a survey of all the big stuff starts to hit you! Will I have enough, how in the world am I going to put this all together and make it look good, will it be good enough? You know a thousand questions running through your mind and driving you crazy! And I have so many jobs left to do I don't know what to do next! My load is odd this time, I don't have any big cupboards, but I have a ton of tables, tables and more tables! Hah! My head will finally clear up when I'm driving to Texas and remembering all the stuff I forgot! These are some pictures of the booth at the Spring show!

Clayton is doing pretty good! We found out 2 days ago he has a ruptured disc in his back and that's where all his back pain is coming from!

Clayton has had a rough couple of days, but he is feeling better today! He even wanted to go to church today! But he was ready to get back in that bed after church! He still can't eat anything solid, cause his jaw won't open and close. I had to take him two days ago to get some back ex rays, his back was hurting him so bad he couldn't hardly breath! Nothing fractured or broken, so we made a trip to the Chiropractor for some acupuncture! He got some instant relief! Thank goodness! I'll keep you updated from time to time!

It's a Miracle!

We are at home! Clayton called me early Tuesday morning while we were eating breakfast and told me to get to the hospital that he was being released! I couldn't believe it! We got his RX filled, gathered him up some clothes for the trip and we left yesterday morning! Was a long trip, but we made it OK! I am so happy to have him home with me! He is going to have a long recovery, Doc says no contact sports, no 4-wheelers, nothing where there is a chance of being hit in the head for 1 year! Doc said one small blow to the head and it could be fatal! He still has a lot of swelling on the right side of his head Doc says will go away soon. When Clayton's med's wear off he starts having severe headaches! This morning at 4:45 am he said his whole body was in pain. He has been on so much pain med's he hasn't realize how bad he is hurt!

Does anyone have any advise on how to make a 19 year take it easy for 1 year? I hope this post makes some sense, it's been hard for me to concentrate the last few days! Again, I want to thank everyone for their concern and the out pouring of offers to help me out while in Texas! There is nothing better than a great group of blogging friends! Thank you so much!

Clayton Update

Clayton is doing much better! He still has long road to recovery, but he is alive and breathing on his own! His skull is fractured in two places, his right jaw is fractured and he still has some bleeding around his brain. The side of his face that is fractured is drooped and he is seeing double. He has had a CT scan everyday and will continue to have them until he leaves the hospital. Hoping he gets moved out of ICU today.

I want to thank all who whispered a prayer for him! I knew I could depend on my blog family to help me out! Continue to remember him, doc says he will need a whole month of recovery. He is coming home with me so I can care of him proper!

I Need Your Prayers!

My baby boy had a 4-wheeler accident last night. He is in the Hospital in Tyler TX. with a brain injury. He has some bleeding on the brain and he is on a respirator. He is still unconscious. Please pray that he will come through this! I will arrive there late tonight, I can't wait to hold him in my arms! Please, Please, Please pray for him!

We had a great show this weekend! You've got to remember when you look at these pictures this is a real Flea Market, no grand productions at this market. And we had a tiny load compared to what we usually take to a show! But we were really pleased! And we were very encouraged cause the crowd was mostly age 20 to 30 something shoppers! This is the age group of shoppers we need in force to get this economy up and running again!

Several bloggers came out to see me, and I was happy to meet every one of you! That is the fun part of this job, getting to meet total strangers that you have something in common with! I want to thank every single customer that shopped with us this weekend!

Nahville This Weekend!

Stop what you are doing right now and make plans to come out to the Nashville Flea Market this weekend! We will be in Shed 4, booth 408 & 435. Here is a little sneak peak of a few things that haven't been loaded yet. Kinda got the black thing going on! Come on out and see us Friday through Sunday, you'll be glad you did!

This is the first time we've taken the new van to a show.

Seems like it is going to hold plenty of treasures for the show!

Brown Transferware

One of my true passions is white ironstone! But who can resist white ironstone with brown flowers on it? And I really love it if it has some staining on it! This was a display of brown transferware I had at the July Brimfield show. Actually, I only sold one oval bowl. I guess people up North don't care for this look? These are some pictures of the second day of sales when I was down to the bare nubbins and trying to make it look like I still had merchandise!

I even like these brown door knobs!

Oh! And I'll never get enough of these white alabaster grapes!

By mid afternoon I had sold the store display table!

I knew it was time to pack up and go home!

Nashville Flea Market

Who Was My Guest?

Did you guess it was Lauri of 2chippys? And let me start by saying we had a blast! She was coming up this way to go the 127 yard sale and wanted to come to see me for a night or two! Of course I couldn't wait! I wasn't planning on going to the 127 yard sale, but on Thursday she talked me into going! OMG, we laughed so much a couple of times almost wet my pants! We didn't get home until 10pm that night, I was so tired I told her I wouldn't go on Friday even if I know I could get a whole van full of junk for free! Well when I woke up on Friday I felt great.............so off we went again! I was sad to see her leave on Saturday morning!

Over Night Guest Coming!

I found out last week that I have over night guest coming today! Oh, I was so excited! Then I realize............I had to clean house!! When my children were small I kept my house spic and span. But as I grow older and have so much work to do for the business, house cleaning is the last thing on my list!! It's just not important to me anymore! If I have a free moment I'd rather play cards with my grandson or look at pictures in a decorating book! But when you find out you have someone spending the night, it doesn't take long for you to realize they are going to be in your house long enough to check out forgotten corners, cob webs on chandeliers and what ever else I've let go for such a long time!! I happy to say my house is clean as a whistle!!

There is one little thing though, what is it when you start cleaning you feel the need to change things around! It's not enough that you have to clean, but now is the time you choose to tear things apart and try to put it all back together before time runs out and your guest arrive! That's exactly what happened to me! Thought I would show you a few changes I made while cleaning! Boy it feels good to have such a clean house!

Billie Bob's family tree!!

I bought this show case a couple of months ago to put in my booth. The top is 9ft. long, we think it came out of a deli. It was so dirty you couldn't even see through the glass! After Craig got finished cleaning it up I liked it so much I decided to put in my kitchen and store dishes in it. I think it's much better than the store counter we had in there, this case lets in more light!

Where I Create

Shelly, from Sweet Pea

was telling me the other day that several bloggers had been posting pictures of their studios, Where They Create! So I figured I would do the same. My studio used to be in the Red Room of my house, but I out grew that space. The Sun Room has tons of light and it makes you feel good just being in that room! So several months ago I moved everything into that room. From the Breakfast Room it looked a little junky, so I put up a cable and hung some curtains, but I never really like them. About a month ago we bought some fabulous garage doors that would separate the Sun Room from the Breakfast Room. Yesterday we brought them in the house and I love them! Now my studio feels like a separate room. I thought you might enjoy seeing pictures of my studio................

Booth Work

The last couple of months our mall space has been doing well! And while I was gone things got a little empty in there! So yesterday day we took a load up and rearranged the booth. Sharon and Lorie's shop is so cute! It is small but it's large on display! They have fun stuff every where. It took me a long time to see everything! Yes! I got some goodies there!

Summer Brimfield 2009

I want to thank everyone who wished me well for the show, I think it worked! We had a great show, it's the first time we've ever sold out and packed up on Friday night! Set up was stress free, mostly because I didn't take zillions of smalls, so this made things easier to pull together in a short time. I think we had just the right amount of things. I am very grateful to everyone who came out to support us!

Hope you enjoy the pictures! Like I said, it's not a grand production, just a few things thrown together!

Home at last!

We got home at 11pm tonight! I am so happy to be home! It's true what they say, THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME! We had a sold out show (thank goodness) and a fast and furious buying trip to Iowa! So after 3000 miles and 12 days in a 23 ft. travel trailer with Craig and 2 dogs, you can see why I am so happy to be home again. I can't wait to show you pictures of the show and the places we went shopping in Iowa!

We are leaving in the morning for Brimfield and won't be back for a couple of weeks! After the show we are going to Iowa on a shopping trip! I get to see Sharon's new shop, White!

I can't wait!

I can't believe it! We pulled it off! A months worth of work done in two weeks! Two very stressful weeks, but I'm pretty sure we are ready! We are leaving a couple of days early so we can stop and shop along the way! Maybe I can find some good junk! Can't wait!

As promised here are a few pictures of Gloria's side of Winnie and Tulula's. I have so many good pictures but for some reason I can't get them to load right. Here are a some that were turned the right way! Gloria's displays are to die for, she is the Queen of decorating and her bedding is fabulous!

I am working like a crazy woman trying to get ready for Brimfield! That's why I haven't been blogging much! I miss looking at blogs and leaving comments, just don't have time right now! Hopefully things will start to fall together in a few days and I can get back to normal!
