Bad Show-Bad Pictures

When we arrived at the show on Friday as soon as we walked in my heart dropped! I looked at Craig and he looked at me, right then and there we decided we had walked into the Senior Citizen Wing of the Flea Market! The only thing we could see was blue hair and dishes. I was so disappointed because I know what kind of crowd these booths attract! And boy was I right! The shoppers were (75%) over the age of 70! You know as well as I do those people don't buy anything! They don't need anything! The first thing they would say, Oh we aren't here to buy, we just want to look! Well, lookin don't pay the bills!
Then as you can see by the pictures I clearly don't have a clue how to use my new camera! I need to read the book and figure out how to lighten the back ground. I tried to lighten things up, but I couldn't make it work right. Sorry the pictures are awful.

This is the only big piece of furniture I sold, and the lady said she was going to strip it!!!

Craig's bench turn out great! One of the best he has ever made, I would like to keep it for myself, but I don't have anywhere to put it! Oh, I forgot I did sell these night stands also.

Did you feel like it would never end? I feel ya, but at least you can scratch that show off of your list. Which was worse, that they didn't buy or that they didn't get it. I have a friend who calls those type of shoppers the double 10's. They come believing in the 10 commanments with $10 in their pockets and they're not going to break either of them.

Oh GOSH I would have given ANYTHING to see the look on "the blue hairs'" faces when they saw the DOLL HEAD peering out at them from inside the FISH BOWL! Hee Hee! Awesome!:) Do you ever set up at the Madison-Bouckville August Antique Show in New York???? Jen

Okay so better things are comin' down the pike... Don't get discouraged--we are all in the same boat sister. We are selling things you don't HAVE TO HAVE in TOUGH TIMES. It will all come back around and we have to have faith that it will. Head up young person...

I Love Ya!!!

Well I'm at a loss for words... Your booth look absolutely fricking awesome!!!!!!!!! No, lookin' doesn't pay the bills and I swore if I heard one more person say I'm not here to buy just looking at your things, well go LOOK somewhere else. Why would you pay to come out to a show just to look. I don't get it. I love Deb's comment, too funny!! Girl, you've got one of the greatest looks around and if they don't get it well, what do you do? Bring it all to Texas!!

Actually, I think your photos look good.Isn't a new camera fun? (Just don't ask my children if they think the same as mom) Hate shows like that, but they all may tell someone about you so you never know what may come back to you for your efforts, looks gorgeous!
