What about this?

Why is it when your decorating for yourself everything is so much harder? First of all, as dealers we go through tons of furniture every year. Then when there is something you want to do for yourself it feels like you don't have anything that you really want to use! So far this is what I have, but I'm sure this will change several times as I get things that I like better. I tried using all white, but the furniture disappeared into the porch.

This bench in the left hand corner is so cool, but it is very uncomfortable, so I know for sure it has to go! I have another bench I am going to try in it's place.

These iron pieces behind the large table I have kept for myself for about 5 years, but I'm not sure if I really like them! It nearly killed me to put them up cause we had to drill holes in that new aluminum trim! Keep in mind everything will look better in the summer when I can have some flowers on the porch!
These chairs are out of my dining room, I bought some for the porch, but I didn't like them either! I think I might be to picky!

The porch faces the South and we get a lot of wind, so I have to choose things that are heavy won't blow away!

Just keep layer it on that is what my momma always told me. Then once you get it just the way you like it you will be ready for something new. LOL It is looking great so far.

Oh, I wish the wire settee would work Ms. T. It's gorgeous! Can you add a cushion to soften the seating or will it blow away? I love it!!!!!!!!!!

I think it looks perfect... but I know the feeling when it comes to decorating our own pad... I get so tired when working the booths that the house sometimes misses out on the goodies! The view I can see you have from the new front porch looks to be breath taking! Big Hugs, Janna

It looks great to me! Very special items you have to decorate with - just wonderful! So glad you finally got your covered porch and yes, it is another room to decorate and I can relate to that! I have been longing for a covered porch also for years - it would help having a little shade to endure the hot Texas sun in the summer. Maybe one of these days...

Your new porch is great! And you have such cool pieces to work with. I'm sure you'll get it all figured out and have fun in the meantime. I think it looks marvy the way it is and can just picture some beautiful flowers thrown into the mix.

Girl, I feel your ability to do for yourself. It is so easy to encourage our clients, but so hard to encourage ourselves. You have the hardscape accomplished, all you need to do is start layering. The piece next to the wire sofa, I can see ivy cascading down the sides. The wire sofa awesome, it just needs to be cushioned with a comfy base with pillows that can be layered and attached with ties that can anchor them to the back. The wonderful pieces that you have attached to the new part of the porch can have beautiful honeysuckle in the spring or fragrant jasmine if it grows in your zone, even climbing roses that you can cut from. I am facing the same thing with a new addition and wanting things to be so inviting. Be patient with yourself. You have beautiful pieces to work with, think of the season and look at nature for your inspiration, I do.... xoxopaintntx

You have a great space to work with already love the ironwork at the end. You are right it is harder when you do your own.. you'll change it several times but if you walked away now we can all see where you are going with it and you always make "every" room stunning!Charlsey
