Are we still moving?

When we got home Monday night and I laid down in the bed, I felt like I was still moving! We have traveled so much in the last 5 weeks, I'm ready to stay home for a while.

The Lakewood show was a little soft this time, I think people are still trying to get over the fact they didn't have any gas for about a month, and they are afraid to spend any money. But we had a great time with all our friends.

These first few pictures are of the 2Chippys booth! Of course they had a theme! (She Dreams of The Circus) Their booth was so creative, enjoy the pictures.

This little blue Cottage table had 6 chairs with it! Can you believe 6 chairs that matched? I think LuLu still has it if you are interested just let her know! 2Chippys

Here are few shoots of my booth. My camera did something strange this time, it only took half of a picture. Not sure whats up with that, I will have to read up on what I did wrong!

We had some great small cupboards and a couple of cool benches.

This arch top door went to a happy customer.

Lakewood 400

Don't forget to come out and see us at the Lakewood 400 this weekend. I'll be in the same booth that I was in at the Sept. show (but I can't remember the number). If you can't find us just ask at the office. The 2chippys will be set up a couple of booths down from us. I will be taking pictures of LuLu's house on this trip, I can't wait!

We will be leaving Wed. for the show, so I will be MIA for about a week.

Marburger Fall Show

Craig and I had a great time in Texas. We got to see all our old friends, make some new ones and best of all we sold tons of junk! It was helpful that we had the extra truck with inventory on it. We had some very large items this time, a 10ft. table with 6 legs, a church arch that was 7ft. tall and 7ft. wide, and a very heavy 8ft. tall cupboard that was all one piece. Thank goodness all the very large pieces sold and we didn't have to reload them. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

This salvage piece was to die for. Two ladies that build small cottages in Round Top are going to put it in their next cottage. They also bought a chandelier from Italy and a cool mantel to go in the house. I can't wait to see pictures of it.

This cute little cupboard went to Linda of the Willows Nest. Some the things I sold this time seemed hard to part with. Most of the time I can let things go without a thought. I will post more pictures later!

Home At Last

Wheeeeeee! We are finally home! We had a great show, but it's always great to come back home! I guess it's true what they say there is no place like home.

I got to meet a lot of great bloggers that came looking for me. I was happy to meet each and every one of you. I loved it when someone came in the booth and said are you Theothertheresa? I met people from all over the US and one woman from Canada.

We had a record breaking show at Marburger. Not a lot of dealer sales, but a huge retail crowd. Although I did meet some new dealers. Oh, and my new booth space at the end of the tent was great.

Got to see and talk to Nancy Soriano and Frances Bailey from Country Living, that was a treat! Frances looked me up so she could tell me a couple of pictures of the house made it into the 2009 CL date book.

And boy, was it great to get to spend time will all my friends! There was only one person missing from the posse and that would be Sharon! Hopefully she can make it in the spring.

I got to see me son on two different occasions, and he is doing well.

MIA

Sorry guys, I will be MIA for the next 2 weeks. I guess you figured that out since all I've been talking about is Texas! We will be leaving tomorrow about 6:30pm as soon as I get off work! I'm sure the day will drag on forever, cause I can't hardly wait to leave! We will drive for a few hours then pull into a camp ground for a good nights rest. On Tuesday we will drive to New Salem, TX, so I can spend a couple of hours with my son, that will surely be the highlight of my trip! From there we are only 5 hours away from Marburger Farms. So hopefully we will arrive shortly after lunch on Wednesday!! O boy then I get to go shopping!! WWhhheeeeee!!! I will be taking tons of pictures! So stay tuned I will be back Oct. 7th.

Texas Time

It's hard to believe I talked to 2 of my friends and they are already setting up in Texas, and we don't even leave until Monday afternoon! God bless those souls who set up for 10 to 14 days from daylight to dark trying to get every last customer! That's not for me! I tried that for a few shows and it sucks! I would rather be at Marburger Farms for a mere 5 days (with it's grand opening day) and have a decent hour to open and close. Marburger draws such a good crowd, usually the sales are as good in 5 days as they are in 14 days! Plus, there is more ME time to get out and shop for junk. I love Marburger Farms, if you've never been there your missing out. Marburger sports some of the best decorated booths around. The first time I ever stepped foot on the grounds my chin fell to the floor, I couldn't believe there was so much talent grouped together in one huge cow pasture! Of course maybe decorating doesn't interest you, but for me that's what it's all about. It's a way for me to get my fix! Junk is the drug of choice for me. It's so fulfilling for me to take and pile of junk and make it look like a million dollars. So make plans now to come and check out the show!

The excitement here is just to much for me to handle! Call after call from my fabulous friends from all over the US!! Everyone feels the same way about the up coming trip to Texas.

It's almost time!

Show time is almost here! And I am not ready yet!!

We still have several jobs to finish before

the second truck can be loaded.

But we are getting so excited, we can't hardly wait!

He Made It!

Clayton called 7:50pm from his dad's house and HE MADE IT IN ONE PIECE!! Thank goodness!! He called me about ten times today to let me know each time he changed routes and told me he was on the right road. That was a huge comfort to me through out the day. Thanks to everyone who said a prayer for him. Ands thanks for all who wanted to give me a big hug. I'm sure I have many tear filled days ahead of me. At least he's not gone off to war! I really feel for all the mothers that have sons and daughters in war! Those mothers have made the ultimate sacrifice and we should remember them daily.

Bitter Sweet

The tears have been flowing here since 4:30am this morning. My baby boy has left the nest! Even though you want your children to grow up and have a life of their own, it's hard to let them go. This is a hurt my heart has never felt before!! My girls moved out, but they didn't go far. My baby boy will be 725 miles away from home. I hope and pray he gets there safely.
