Bedroom Makeover

This is the area in the bedroom I made over! The settee matches the chairs in the dinning room, but I didn't want them in the same room together. I don't like that look where everything matches.

The great chair with German feed sack
I got from Jackie of Bliss Farm.

This statue is actually in the living room.
I collect nudes! What can I say, I wish I looked like that!

Simply changes can make such an impact. I know you don't have anything to compare it with, but I couldn't find any before pictures to show you, sorry! As I grow older I feel the need to simply my life more.
On a lighter note: I have struggled with the idea of sharing this with you guys, but here goes! I went back to Weight Watchers last Monday, not even sure if you are interested! I have struggled with my weight all my life! In the early 80's I did Weight Watchers and kept my weight off for 10 years. Two years ago I went back, lost 32 lbs. but put it all back on! This time I am serious about this! And I am very excited! The first week went very well, as a matter of fact Craig took a huge interest in what I was doing and he wants to go along with the plan. I think we can support each other, of course his weight will probably come off faster than mine!
Last night was weigh in and I lost 3lbs.!! I was so excited, I am officially on my way to becoming a healthier person! I will create a box in my side bar so you can follow along if you are interested!

I just love everything in your bedroom, all your pieces are beautiful! I wish I oculd simplify my home, it is way too cluttered but I always feel such guilt about getting rid of things unless I am giving them away lol and not everyone shares my tastes :) sooo I hang on to too much! I think you doing weight watchers is wonderful, I don't know if I would be able to maintain the program but I so admire those that can..I battle the same 10-15 lbs all the time, I know I have lost at least 100lbs if not more losin and regaining and losin! I wish you much strength in reaching your goal :) Please let me know how you do...as much as I complain about my weight...I know it is nothing compared to where I started...I am almost 1/2 the size I used to be and everyday it is a struggle, darn the day I rediscovered sugars and white starches and soda lol everytime I start on these things again...I regain..you would think I would know by now to stay away...but sadly I just love sugar :) As my Dr said to me "I won't say good luck...I will say, love yourself & just do it!" Ohhh one more thing! Congrats on the loss!!! woohoo..yay you! Just remember each lb no matter how lil you think is 1 lb closer to your goal! And most important, when you don't see that scale move...don't get upset and give up...be Happy and remember it is during that time that your body is reshaping & your more than likely losin inches and sizes, which is even better!! Believe it :)Besos, Rose

Hi Theresa, everything you do is always wonderful! Love that chair and settee! I've had to learn that weight loss is first a mental decision. I too have a daily struggle to stay away from sugar, bread and starches. They just don't work for me. I'm not currently on any plan, just trying to make a lifestyle committment to eating better. It's working. I've lost 10 lbs. since the summer, but I'm only 5 feet. So that makes a huge difference to me.
We will all be cheering you on!

I am loosing inches but not pounds, how can you gain 4 lbs and grow 30 inches? Good for you, three pounds is a big big deal for me.
5 would put me back in my clothes.
Hang in there.

Love you statues, I guess great minds think alike...I posted on my statues too... come see me for a chuckle.

Wow.

Ugh... weight (loss/gain). It's always there to struggle with for most of us, huh? Such is life...

Best of luck to you both as you begin the program!! But you know what -- weight loss or weight gain, we love you and your blog! :)

Hi Theresa,
I love the makeover in the bedroom, but then I LOVE everything you do! Your taste is so awesome and has inspired me for along time. Since that feature in CL.
As far as weight goes, I did OK until I hit my 40's and then holy cow! I had a hysterectomy when I was 36 and it messed everything up good.(at least that's my story) By the time I was 48 I had gained 35 lbs and my weight was still climbing. Finally my MD had 'a little talk' with me. I was able to take off the weight and so far so good for the past 4 years, but it is a constant struggle. I love food and I LOVE sweets. Good luck to you Theresa.
hugs

Your bedroom is wonderful, love it all! I wish I would have done mine in white but I put vaulted ceilings in there and I thought it would be to cold looking...changing my mind now :)
Congratulations on you weight loss - hard to do that this time of year! I am a cookie and butter freak - the combination is bad...
My very best Christmas wish to you, blessings to you and yours.
