New Assemblage

My favorite thing in the whole world ASSEMBLAGE! If I could not create displays and rearrange things, I think I would swivel up and lose my mind. Being creative is what keeps me sain!! I can have the worst day, but let me take a pile of junk and make it look pretty and I'm good to go! Assemblage is like therapy to me. I guess being creative is a gift, but it comes so natural for me. And I love looking at other peoples displays, it makes my heart beat real fast and I get so excited! In the past few years I have met some very talented people, Peg-French Vanilla, Theresa-Garden Antiques, Cindy-Plum Tree, Dawn-Feathered Nest, Steve-Uncommon Objects, Carol Bolton-Homestead, Rachel Ashwel-Shabby Chic, Mo-Rubbish Two, Judy-JHill Designs, and lets not forget the guys from Leftovers. The list could go on and on, but those are a few off the top of my head. Here are few new assemblages from the shop.

Hi Theresa!! Wow, I'm so honored to be listed with that group of folks, I mean it!!! You definitely have such an amazing gift, the gift of placement. Knowing just what needs to be placed where! Isn't it funny how just making things look pretty can give us so much joy??...I hate I missed you Saturday, I looked for you, too. I talked to Sue because I thought you might be under the big tent but she said you always set up at the other side of 285 right in front. Well I'd covered that side and didn't see you. I told her you had a store now though, she was excited about that! I hope to be coming back next month to look for more treasures. There was a really good turn out last weekend, and great weather!! If you have any junk lying out back, pieces of metal, eaten up linens with lace edges, old cardboard photo matts with no photo, just pure garbage that you would scrape up off of the floor, save it in a box for me and charge me one money for all!!!! I can use it for my artwork and I'd take your garbage anyday!! xxoo, Dawn

Don't you just love the deer moss!! I had to go and buy more because I just love it, and how it feels. Thanks for including me in your list. You know I am so wanting an Uncommon Fix, I can't hardly stand it!! I've been surfing pics on Flickr for them. You'll have to check out Flickr for my pics of Uncommon Objs. We sound like junkies, right, not the kind that does drugs, well unless you consider antiques an addiction, but the kind that go junkin!! Can't wait to see your fab displays, not too much longer!!

Theresa, How can I live up to being on a list with all those other folks? You should put your name on the top since you have a creative design that is like no other. I have not been to Scotts in so long, hope you're still there and maybe one day will get by to see you. Love your shop, keep up the good work.

Hi Theresa! I hope you don't mind that I drooled over the pictures of your store. I soooo need to take a road trip!! I loved the banner picture -- those little baby doll legs sticking up are so cute!

Very pretty arrangements I agree with you, vignettes and arranging are my absolute favorite thing about decorating.

A girl after my own heart. Why do I want a real shop? Money? Prestige? Heck no! I want to play with the junk I find! Arrange it, pet it, move it around. Your displays are inspiring. Very pretty and interesting.

(Money and prestige? LOL Think that'll happen? *insert giggles here*)

Teresa, once again you've done it for me. I'm getting a larger booth space, and was wanting some inspiration on how to fix it up. First place I came was to your blog. I loved these pictures and displays, i've printed them off for future inspiration, Thanks. Love the new name.
