Brown Transferware

One of my true passions is white ironstone! But who can resist white ironstone with brown flowers on it? And I really love it if it has some staining on it! This was a display of brown transferware I had at the July Brimfield show. Actually, I only sold one oval bowl. I guess people up North don't care for this look? These are some pictures of the second day of sales when I was down to the bare nubbins and trying to make it look like I still had merchandise!

I even like these brown door knobs!

Oh! And I'll never get enough of these white alabaster grapes!

By mid afternoon I had sold the store display table!
I knew it was time to pack up and go home!

Now you have to find a new farm table. I always wished I would sell my whole booth at Marburger. Just an urban legend I thought, though I did hear about it while there.

Okay, we so need to be friends. I love white ironstone, but I also love brown and white transferware and also the black and white. And the blue and white. And the purple and white. OK, I just love transferware, but I THINK (right this minute) that brown and white is my favorite. It's such a nice look in the fall, too.

Take care,
Judy

I love them all too, but the brown is my fave, I have been grabbing it for years and it has always sold well in the shops, especially Sisters. To me it just carries the grace of the Victorian era we all love so much.

Went to CV yesterday, didn't get much, you didn't miss a thing...however, you would've probably filled the truck...ha!

Have a good one lil' sister!

I adore brown transferware. Very elegant, but still rustic.

Hello
It looks great! Love your displays, I don't know why it didn't all sell. I am up north and I collect it. But I guess not everyone gets it :)
Have a great week

So happy to find you on Blogger! It is Suzanne of "Suzanne & Dedra". The silly gals from Louisiville who visit Bennie's Barn in Glendale. Are you still at the barn? We have been too busy to get down, but are planning a visit in the next few weeks.

Do you have a source for Slipcovers by any chance? I have a few new treasures and am looking for someone to cover them for me. I have to have slips on anything white!

I hope to see you soon!

Do you have a source for slipcovers in the Louisville/surrounding areas? I cannot locate anyone who can make slips! Are you still at Bennie's Barn in Glendale?

TOT, thanks for following my blog. I've been following yours for some time. I'm amazed that you go so far and wide in your 'pursuits' (Nashville and Marburger). I haven't set up at Marburger in several years, but loved that venue. It has the best stuff I've ever seen. I want to go in September and meet everyone and hope I get to. I think a friend of mine in Houston (where we can stay) is going to go with me. Love the stuff you display.
