Iowa Dresser

I thought you guys might want to see this chest I bought in Iowa. I'm not sure of its origin, but it is a very well made piece. All the drawer bottoms and the back are chamfered, narrow dovetailed drawers and the over all curves of this piece made it irresistible! I knew as soon as I seen it I had to have it for my house, wasn't sure where I would put it, but I knew I could find it a home! Believe it or not, the mirror was already there, didn't even have to move it!

It even has a hidden compartment, which I think is very cool, not that I have anything worth hiding, but it makes your imagination run wild! Can you imagine living a country where you had to hide valuable papers or money?

The carved wood details one the sides are so elegant. I'm sure this piecs will stay with me for a while. Off course I had to get rid of another piece to make it fit, but thats one of the reasons I'm in this business!

I'm sending this to Barb, she will love it, it looks great in your bedroom. Boy do we struggle with buying and keeping for ourselves...but the little red Victorian fits right in at home in the front room...do we love our job or what!!!
