Ringing in the New Year

Well Christmas has come and gone and the New Year is almost here! I can't believe 2008 is gone! Where does the time go? I am hopeful that 2009 is a better year for every one! Thought I would share a few random photos of vignettes around the house. I would love to go places and take pictures of cool shops, but they are few and far between! People in our area are behind the times and they don't get my style! They think it is just junk that needs to be painted or thrown in the trash! What can I say~~I love my junk!~~Hope you do to!

The clock in the picture above it no bigger than a pencil eraser.

This is a soap dish with 2 broken heads!

A collage of things all layered together.

Some really big sponges I bought in Brimfield.

And these are my baby heads!
But my baby heads are good upstanding Christians,
nothing like those slut babies over at 2chippys!
See how happy they all are!

They all get along nicely!

I've got a thing for these white grapes!
I have them every where!
Aah! Books and Nest!

This little cast iron lion has been with me for years.

I was experimenting with the flash off.
Can you see the June bug shell?
This small vignette is inside a sterilizing cabinet
from a beauty shop.

This is on top of that same cabinet.

Another broken head in another soap dish!

This vent is out of an old barn.

Christmas Thanks to All

I want to thank each and every one of my loyal followers for reading and commenting on my blog! I really enjoy reading other blogs and posting on my blog. The thrill comes when reading comments from other bloggers!

I won't be posting until after Christmas, my son is coming home today and hopefully I will get to spend some time with him. The only thing he's worried about is spending time with his friends, maybe he can squeeze MOM in there some where!

Have a very Merry Christmas!

More Euro Inspiration

Here are a few more pictures of some of the changes I've worked on. I know you guys are probably tired of all the pictures I post, but when I go to other peoples blogs that's what I love to look at (pictures)!

I am hung up on these glass domes lately, I think they are so cool cause you can create little vignettes inside and change them out when you get tired of them. Best of all you don't have to dust what's inside! I hate dusting!

This table is beside my bed.
I took this picture of dinning room without flash cause I think it sets the mood for the room. I just wanted to show the lions I hung next to the window! I think they complete the look I was going for.

Can you tell I LOVE statues?

This table is beside the sofa.

This is a small cupboard in the kitchen.

European Inspired

After my visit to the European Antique Market, I told you I wanted to sell everything I had and start all over again. Then I realize I had the right elements to create the same feel I just needed to shake things up a bit. Of course the chairs set the mood for the room. My dinning room and living room are all one room.

I have always described my taste as primitive elegance. But I think I feel the need for more elegance in my life at this time. So I have spent the last several day re-decorating my house. I plan to do a lot more after Christmas, but my son is coming home next week and I don't want the house all torn up. Hope you enjoy the pictures, let my know if you think I captured the European feel with my junk!
These items are not for sale!

This mantel is in the living room.

This is a teeny weeny aquarium with the light that I bought in Texas.
I know it's not really European, but I love it and had to make it work.

Sorry there is so much ceiling in the picture,
I was trying to keep the camera off the window.

This bust looks like it cost a fortune!
It's plastic from Big Lots! Hah!

I have added some large gold lions over the chairs
against the window, with some short columns
on each side of the chairs.
Forgot to get a picture of that.

Chairs from European Antique Market

Are these chairs fabulous or what? I have been looking for a set of 6 chairs for my dinning room for quite some time now. When I seen these I fell in love with them. Best part is I even love the fabric on them. I am so happy, I think they look great. If you are ever in Louisville, Ky. check out the European Antique Market.

Sunday Stash #3

This display photo is not the greatest, I should have put a table cloth on the table so the merchandise would show up better!

Everything on this table is for sale, if you are interested just send me a e-mail and I will get back to you with the prices.

Click on any picture to enlarge.
There are only a few of the cursive writing cards.

Desert water bag.

Little, worn cowboy boots.
Glass ball fishing net floats.

I love this little white type writer.
It has a metal case with it, made is Germany.

One of Craig's lamps.

Octagon coupons.
