Beverly Hillbillies go to Texas

Craig is loadin the truck for it's long journey to Texas. I told you in a previous post my son is moving to Texas and he leaves on Monday. His poor little truck is not capable of making the trip. So I came up with the bright idea to let him pull his truck to Texas with our big truck, and take a load with him at the same time. Because we have some mammoth things to get to Texas for this show and I'm afraid we will run out of space. We drive right by his dads house in Henderson, Tx. so it is no problem to stop and get the truck.
BUT!!! I am trusting a 18 year old BOY, (Who by the way lost his wallet with $350 in it a couple of days ago) to get this load to Texas safely!! EVERYONE PRAY!!! Right now!! Move away from your computer and fall to your knees!! PLEASE!!! I will be on pins and needles till I get the call that he has made it in one piece.

Here are few pics of Craig loading the truck.
He is sawing thin pieces of plywood
for padding so things don't rub together.
Boy, thats some good looking stuff on there!

Your doing a good job Craig!
I spy Craig, can you?

Make sure you get all that stuff tied down good Craig. OMG!!!
Don't want anything flying off and busting out some ones windshield!

Do you think we have it full enough????

Would Jed and Granny be happy??
Granny still has room on top of the cab for her rocker!!

Refindmaisonjardin

I had the pleasure to meet Pat Mallory at the Lakewood 400, at the Aug. show. She has a shop in Powder Springs, GA. I finally found her blog this morning, refindmaisonjardin, which has all the address info about her shop. You have to go check it out. Laurie from the 2chippys went and she thought it was FAB-U-LOUS!! Lauri did a post on her shop, check that out as well. I can't wait to go see it for myself.

My Booth Lakewood 400

Sorry it's taken me so long to post pics of my booth at Lakewood 400, but you know how it is, to many irons in the fire! My 18 year old son is leaving home on Sept. 1st to move to Texas to live with his dad. So I've been busy trying to prepare him for his journey. I'm not real sure how I'm going to deal with him being gone from home! Matter of fact I'm about to cry just thinking about it! Sorry!

But I did promise pics of my booth.

I thank all the great customers we had at the show. I can't wait to go back in Oct. I know this is the same stuff I had at the Evansville, Ind. show, but remember I didn't sell, so we just took what was on the truck!

1of 2Chippys House

The highlight of my trip to Atlanta was spending time with the 2Chippys! We went to dinner one night and after we ate LuLu went on her way and I got to go to Lauri's house! What a treat! Her house is very pretty. Hope you guys enjoy the pics.

Me with 2Chippys!
Lauri has tons of ironstone, one of my favorite things to collect.

And my all time favorite is butter pats! She is trying her best to get more than me! I think she has succeeded, at last count I have 140 and I think she is up to 170! Bitch!

I love how she stacks things up randomly.

Check out the butter pats under the glass dome! LLOOVVEEIT!!

She decorates with a lot of color, bling and fluff stuff.

This is a small table in her kitchen. (more butter pats)

Buffet in her dinning room with all kinds of treasures on it.

Sharon this ones for you!

Some of these goodies she bought from me! She has good taste!

Frenchie chest in her living room.

Look Shelly, brown transfer ware and Lauri said it's for sale.

This clock case is in the bathroom.

This is Lauri with her son 20 years ago! She definitely has 80's hair!

So Excited!

I'm so excited I just had to tell you girls. I am featured on the AOL Decorating page! If you go to the AOL homepage then click on Decorating, there's my house. Chic Double Wide! Not sure what's up with that, but it's OK by me! Some of my customers from the Lakewood 400 told me about it, or I would have never known! Check it out!

Show and Tell

OMG girls! I have so much to show and tell! First of all we had a great show at the Lakewood 400! I am so excited about that show! I wish we had gone to the show before now! I love the area it is in, so much better than the area surrounding the old Lakewood. The drive there was pleasant also, because we didn't have to go into downtown Atlanta, what a treat! And the attitude of the customers is so much different than the Scotts show. These customers were glad to see me, and they wanted to BUY!! YES!! I met some of the nicest people and of course I got to hang out with the 2Chippys! And guess what? I got to go to Lauri's house and take pictures! But that's for tomorrows post. Hopefully I get all these dealers put together with the right pictures. ENJOY!

First on the list is Ann VanDevelder, she does the show a few times a year, but I like her stuff.

Next we have Jocelyn O'Gorman of (The Painted Fern) she has a permanent spot in G 407-408. The next 7 pictures are of her booth. She has some very cute displays and she wants to move to Kentucky!

Across from Jocelyn is Nancy Zukusky of (Farm House Salvage) she is permanent in G453B. Some of my pics of her didn't turn out, hope I got enough so you can see her neat ideas. Next 4 pics are of her booth.

The next booth belongs to a long time Lakewood Dealer Sue Lahr she is permanent G442.

This is the store front for Joann Rogers (Grosgrain Annies) don't you just love that awning? Next 6 pics are of her booth. You have to see it in person to get the full affect. She hand dyes all her ribbon and it is to die for!

Debbie Turner of (Turners Treasures) A 23-24 has tons of vintage jewelry. She is one of the old Lakewood dealers also, and she is so sweet!

And who can resist Carole Berg of (The Potting Shed)? I always get the best fluff stuff from her. She does a great job decorating her space, makes you want one of everything! She is right inside the front door to the left. Her email: caroleberg@ymail.com, if you see something you want just let her know.

Doesn't that tomato plant look real?
And last but not least we have Beverly Norris she is permanent in G 434-435.

This clock is not old, but I think it has a great look!

There are tons of good dealers at the Lakewood 400, these are only a few that caught my eye. There is all different kinds of furniture from old to new. If you haven't been there you should go see whats going on. I plan to be back there is for the Oct. show.
